UPCOMING EVENT ---- Independence Day

We take great pride in celebrating our host country despite the diversity of the school and insist that all ages learn the words of the Nigerian National Anthem and come dressed to school for our celebratory day in Nigerian national attire. The day usually comprises of storytelling of traditional folktales such as Ajakpa and some form of cultural dance lessons or drumming workshops. The children enjoy arts and crafts activities with beads and play games such as basket carrying and “okada racing”. It has become a tradition to end the day with a class by class fashion parade and a buffet style Nigerian lunch.

RECENT EVENT ----End of Year Production

The preparations for this whole school event begin as early as October to combine script writing, the painting of a back drop, costume designing and actual rehearsals. We are supported each year by a sound and lighting company to create a more professional effect as we showcase our acting, dancing and singing talent from across the school. We prefer to create our own storyline rather than to use commercial scripts and have successfully produced Disney based compilations, a play about the conservation of water, time machine productions and most recently; a spectacular night of musicals. This year’s extravaganza promises to bedazzle the crowds again.
